Who I recommend my services to

recommandation iconI design and style showcase websites, and recommend this service to the following:

  • portfolios, artist portfolios, art galleries,
  • tourist websites, travel agencies, tour operators,
  • small hotels, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts, restaurants,
  • individual entrepreneurs, service providers,
  • associations,
  • local authorities, small municipalities,
  • personal bloggers,

anyone for whom aesthetics, colour harmony and showcasing their work/products or services through images are important.

service1 image

I do not recommend this service to those who, for example, wish to create an online shop, engage in e-commerce and for whom setting up an online payment system is essential. Indeed, for the security of such systems, I recommend calling on a specialist.
I also advise against the WordPress system for those who are not familiar with this type of platform or who have neither the time nor the patience to take care of it. It is essential to take certain precautions to prevent a website from being hacked, for example from a point of sale, and transformed into a fake payment site used to scam internet users, which could lead to an FBI investigation (I have experienced this myself!).

1) Product-based services

These services involve the design of a website or individual website components, custom-made for the Client.
The services include, in particular, according to the Client’s needs:

a. Website creation

(your choice):
  • based on an existing template or
  • custom design.

b. Redesign of an existing website

  • updating and transforming the structure and/or style of an existing website.

c. Webdesign

(basic service):
  • consultation/advice on the concept (theme, layout, colours, fonts, typography, ergonomics, visual composition, other requirements),
  • composition,
  • image resizing,
  • mobile adaptation/version (responsive design).

d. Webdesign – included options

(on request - included in the service / possible additional charge for external providers):
  • special effects,
  • image gallery - image uploading,
  • image retouching (e.g.: sharpness) - resizing,
  • filtering,
  • WordPress or other blog,
  • contact form,
  • integration of multilingual versions.

e. Webdesign – premium options

(optional / for an additional fee):
  • logo creation,
  • configuration of Matomo or Statcounter analytics,
  • GDPR compliance,
  • assistance with drafting the General Terms and Conditions,
  • non-certified translations (Hungarian, French, English depending on the subject),
  • SEO: search engine optimisation (keywords - Google, Bing, links, registration with mailing lists, sharing on social networks - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Behance, YouTube, depending on the subject).

The price depends on the amount of content on the website, the complexity of the features, the level of customisation, the artistic style and the time devoted to the project. A simple and classic website includes a home page, a services section, a portfolio or products page, a pricing page, a general terms and conditions page, a contact page, around fifty images, and includes publishing the website online. The client has already chosen the colours and fonts. Approximately one month of work should be expected for the creation of this type of website: around €1,500 per website.

There are many advertisements on the Internet offering website creation from €50. Be careful: these are most often misleading advertisements, generally charged per page. Let’s be realistic: a €50 website created by an independent web designer will, in most cases, amount to a virtually empty page.

Of course, it is possible to create a website yourself for free, but this means configuring, modifying and customising it yourself. The options are then limited, particularly when it comes to purchasing a personalised domain name or making any changes to the structure and style of the website.

2) Service-based services

These services correspond to work carried out over time, without the creation of a product delivered in a final form. They include in particular:

a. Internet services

(optional - additional fee charged by a third party):
  • domain name registration,
  • server space reservation,
  • hosting configuration,
  • publishing the website online.

€40/hour

b. Management and Maintenance

(administrator service):

management iconA showcase website generally does not require regular updates, as it does not contain complex interaction systems, continuous data storage, or dynamic page generation, etc. (unless you want, for example, a WordPress blog or Matomo analytics, which use a database or PHP-based systems). However, for several reasons, it is recommended to publish new images, information or texts at least once a month.

The first reason is that Google and other search engines favour websites offering recent content, while regular visitors are encouraged to return, generating traffic, which is a major asset for search engine optimisation.

There is another reason why a website may require access, renovation or maintenance. Nowadays, everything evolves very quickly, including systems that nevertheless work perfectly well. Perhaps because these days, some people get bored as soon as they have fifteen minutes of peace and quiet or free time. This certainly isn't the case for me: I never get bored. Thus, a website may work perfectly well today, but suddenly the development world may consider that the system in place is no longer secure or reliable, or that the design code language (CSS) is evolving and will no longer be maintained for one reason or another. In time, the website may then work less well, or even stop working altogether.

If you need someone, you can count on me:

  • periodic maintenance as an administrator (contract with regular orders) or occasional intervention (one-off order): updates, corrections, backups, optimisation, image and text uploads, basic technical assistance,
  • creation and publication of new content, publishing online.

€30/hour for a regular order (minimum twice a month).
€40/hour for a one-off order.

c. Training for beginners

Online training for beginners, provided remotely (video conferencing), designed to teach the basics of creating a showcase website in HTML5, CSS and a little Javascript (mainly jQuery). At the end, the participant will have created a simple website and understood the principles of its construction:

  • once/twice/three times a week in the evening, or (after consultation) at a time of your choice,
  • via Zoom (or another platform) with camera and microphone.

€50/2-hour session

SEO

Before starting the website creation, I need to discuss the details with the client during a meeting. We stay in contact throughout the process to ensure that the final result corresponds to their vision. Below is a summary of the important points to consider in order to achieve an optimal result.

01. SIMPLICITY

This is the key word: the layout of the elements, design, content and ergonomics should remain simple. Avoid overloading the page with too much information or using flashy advertisements, for example.

03. ERGONOMICS

Hierarchy: pages should be organised logically and be easy to navigate.
Navigation: it should be understandable, clear and always visible, regardless of the browser's position on the website. It should be possible to access information quickly and easily.
Actions: filling in a form should be simple and the placement of buttons logical.
Technical performance: the page should load quickly and be compatible with mobile devices.
And the rest, which I will discuss further below…

02. TECHNOLOGY

The volume of content, the service or product presented on the website, and a few other elements help determine the most appropriate technologies (coding language, "plugins") for its construction. I specialise mainly in creating showcase websites. If you wish to integrate financial transactions, hotel booking and synchronisation, or more complex systems using a database, we can of course discuss this, but it involves a greater financial investment, and I will also explain the disadvantages.

04. CONTENT

The most visually attractive websites are those that contain the least content. Like those magnificent but sterile and empty kitchens we see in advertisements. So, when designing, let us take into account the quantity of content.

05. COLOURS – HARMONY

If possible, use only three colours, or if more are used, they should be shades of the three main colours. If the client wishes to choose the colours for the website, they can use the generator available at this link to create shades, tones and tints: https://colors.dopely.top/color-toner/.

advice image 1

06. TEXTS - READABILITY

Use as little text as possible and favour visual expression (images, illustrations, icons), which has an increasingly significant impact on the public. Choose a maximum of three fonts, with clear and precise characters, in a size that remains readable even for most visually impaired people.
If the client wishes to choose the fonts, they are available at this link, can be easily integrated into the website and are free: https://fonts.google.com/. However, if more specific fonts are required, I can also recommend a few.

advice image 2

07. IMAGES & MEDIA - SIZING

Let us publish only high-quality images online! However, they should be resized to a medium size, neither too small nor too large, so that the page opens quickly. This applies to all media, such as videos. File size matters!

08. EFFECTS

Let us avoid using too many effects. With modern development and technologies, we can even bring the dead back to life. However, this can considerably slow down the website or even cause it to crash, depending on the visitor's computer performance.

09. UPDATES - REGULARITY

The more frequently the content is updated, the more priority the website will receive and the higher it will rank in the results of Google and other search engines.

01 Nature of the service

The Provider offers services for the creation, design and enhancement of showcase websites intended primarily for artists, small businesses, tourism organisations, accommodation providers, restaurants, associations, bloggers, local authorities, as well as anyone wishing to have an aesthetically refined and harmonious website focused on presenting images, works, products or services.

The services offered by IL Design are divided into two distinct categories according to their nature:

  • product services, corresponding to the creation of a website, and
  • service-based services, corresponding to interventions, management or training, without delivery of an autonomous finished product.

A) Product services – Website creation and redesign

These services involve the design of a website or individual website components, custom-made for the Client.
The services include, in particular, according to the Client’s needs:

  • the creation or redesign of a showcase website based on a template or a customised design;
  • webdesign: advice on the theme, colours, fonts, ergonomics, layout, visual composition, mobile adaptation (responsive design), image optimisation or resizing, specific modules (gallery, contact form, WordPress blog, visual effects, etc.) which may require the involvement of third-party providers;
  • additional services: logo creation, analytics configuration (Matomo), GDPR compliance, assistance with drafting the T&Cs, non-certified translations (Hungarian, French, English depending on the subject), search engine optimisation (SEO), content optimisation, integration of multilingual versions.

B) Service-based services – Interventions, management and training

These services correspond to work carried out over time, without the creation of a product delivered in a final form.
They include in particular:

  • technical installation where applicable: domain name and server space reservation, hosting configuration, publishing the website online;
  • management and maintenance (administrator service): occasional interventions or periodic maintenance contracts (updates, corrections, publication of new content, backups, optimisation, image and text uploads, basic technical assistance);
  • online training for beginners, provided remotely (video conferencing), designed to teach the basics of managing, updating or creating a showcase website.

These services relate exclusively to showcase websites, without an online purchasing system.
They are therefore not suitable for projects requiring an online shop, a secure payment system or an e-commerce infrastructure. In such cases, the Provider recommends calling on a specialised professional.

The Provider also draws the Client’s attention to the fact that certain platforms (in particular WordPress) require regular management and minimum security measures. If the Client does not wish to carry out these tasks themselves, they may entrust maintenance to the Provider under a separate contract.

03. Order – Service process

03A) Order – process for product services (website and its components / creation – webdesign – additional services – redesign)

  1. Initial request
    The Client fills in and sends the order form available in the Services section to the Provider. Prior contact is possible but not mandatory.
  2. Needs analysis
    The Provider contacts the Client to obtain additional information, clarify the project's objectives, identify any technical constraints and, where applicable, propose alternative solutions. Examples or templates may be presented to ensure a clear understanding of the desired concept.
  3. Commercial proposal
    The Provider sends the Client a Commercial Proposal – Quote and pro forma invoice by e-mail and requests payment of a 10% deposit.
  4. Validation
    The Client confirms their agreement by e-mail. Payment of the deposit constitutes definitive confirmation of the order.
  5. Design phase
    The Provider indicates an estimated timeframe for the creation of the website, depending on its complexity and the amount of content.
    To ensure that the project meets the requirements, the Provider maintains regular contact with the Client and presents progress at each important stage.
  6. Intermediate stage – mandatory validation
    When approximately half of the work has been completed, the Provider informs the Client that this stage constitutes a decision point.
    • If the Client chooses to discontinue the service at this stage, the 10% deposit is refunded in full, and no further amount is due.
    • If the Client confirms that the project should continue, the deposit becomes definitively acquired by the Provider, even if the project is subsequently abandoned.
  7. Completion of the service
    Once the website is completed, the Provider makes it available to the Client on their own server so that the Client can check the result and confirm that it meets their expectations. After this presentation — and only if the Client approves the result — the Provider sends a request for payment of the balance.
  8. Payment
    The Client pays the full amount due by bank transfer, in accordance with the information provided in the payment request.
  9. Delivery
    Within a maximum of 2 working days after receipt of payment, the Provider proceeds with either:
    • the transfer of the website files to the Client's server, based on the credentials provided (FTP, SFTP, hosting account, etc.);
    • or, if the Client wishes, delivery on physical media (USB flash drive) by appointment.
    The Provider cannot be held responsible for any malfunction related to the configuration of the Client's server.
  10. Delays and force majeure
    If the website cannot be completed within the initially estimated timeframe due to an unforeseeable event beyond the Provider's control (major computer failure, unavailability of a third-party service, power outage, weather-related incident, etc.), the Provider will immediately inform the Client. The parties will then agree together whether to continue, modify or cancel the service.

03B) Order – process for service-based services (technical installation, management and training)

  1. Initial request
    The Client contacts the Provider by e-mail and describes the requested service (technical installation, occasional management intervention, regular management or training).
  2. Needs analysis
    The Provider may request additional information in order to determine the duration, applicable price and necessary technical requirements.
  3. Commercial proposal
    The Provider sends the Client a Commercial Proposal – Quote and pro forma invoice, specifying:
    • the exact content of the service,
    • the applicable fixed price (rates known in advance),
    • the proposed timeframe or date for the intervention,
    • the information necessary for the service to run smoothly (server access, credentials, availability, etc.).
  4. Mandatory advance payment
    The following services only begin after full payment has been received:
    • Technical installation:
      For any action related to the domain name, hosting, website publication or technical server settings, full payment is required before each intervention.
    • Management – occasional interventions:
      For individual requests (updates, content additions, corrections, minor modifications), payment is due before each intervention.
    • Management – regular orders:
      In the case of recurring support (monthly updates, content refreshes, technical monitoring), payment is due at the beginning of each month, before the first intervention of the month.
    • Online training:
      Remote training sessions (video conferencing) must be paid for before each session, with the booking confirmed only after payment.
  5. Performance of the service
    Once payment has been confirmed:
    • The Provider performs the service on the date indicated or within the agreed timeframe.
    • For technical installations or server interventions, the Client must provide the necessary access credentials (FTP, hosting panel, CMS, etc.).
    • For training sessions, the Client must be available at the agreed time and have compatible equipment.
  6. Delivery and confirmation
    At the end of the intervention:
    • the Provider informs the Client by e-mail,
    • the files or modifications are published online or communicated according to the nature of the service,
    • a final invoice is then sent to the Client.

04 Limitations and responsibilities

04A) Limitations and responsibilities relating to product services (website and its components)

  1. Limited warranty
    The Provider offers a 30-day warranty from the delivery of the website (uploading the files to the Client's server or making them available on the Provider's server).
    This warranty covers only malfunctions directly attributable to the Provider (coding errors or technical anomalies resulting from their work).
    After this period, any intervention or correction will be subject to an additional charge.
  2. Exclusions of liability
    The Provider cannot be held responsible in the event of malfunction, error, incompatibility or partial or total degradation of the website resulting, directly or indirectly, from the following situations:
    • External technical developments
      • Changes to browser rules or standards (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.)
      • Changes to the programming languages or libraries used (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.)
      • Security updates or changes to the technical policies of the server or hosting provider
      • Automatic update of a plugin, theme, framework or extension resulting in a conflict or incompatibility
      • Obsolescence of a plugin or discontinuation of support by its developer
    • Compatibility
      The Provider undertakes to deliver a website compatible with the most commonly used modern browsers, each representing at least 10 to 20% of usage among average visitors (for example: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, recent versions). The Provider also endeavours to make the website responsive, meaning adaptable to different screen sizes.
      The Provider cannot guarantee full compatibility with all existing, outdated or unsupported browsers, nor with all versions of operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux distributions, etc.). The website will be optimised for the most common resolutions, but absolute compatibility with all devices, sizes, formats and configurations is not technically achievable without compromising the website's performance or structure (e.g. excessive code, slowdown, excessive simplification of the interface).
      Any request for additional specific compatibility will be subject to a separate quote.
    • Client actions
      • Modifications (even minor ones) made to the code, files or settings by the Client or a third party;
      • Addition of plugins, extensions or scripts not approved by the Provider;
      • Handling errors or accidental deletion of files by the Client;
      • Loss of access to the server, FTP, database or any other administration tool used for the website.
    • External events
      • Problems related to the availability of the server, hosting provider or registrar
      • Power or internet network outages affecting the Provider or the Client;
      • Cyberattacks (hacking, injection, brute force, malware, DDoS);
      • Failure or interruption of third-party services (APIs, payment systems, external services integrated into the website).
    • Regulations and policies
      • Changes to a security or accessibility standard;
      • New standards imposed by web organisations (W3C, GDPR, etc.);
      • Legal changes requiring the website to be redesigned or technically adapted (e.g. new cookie law, changes to GDPR requirements, etc.).
  3. Limitation of financial liability
    The Provider's liability, should it arise, is strictly limited to the total amount paid by the Client for the service concerned.
  4. Data loss
    The Provider strongly recommends that the Client set up a backup solution.
    The Provider cannot be held responsible for the loss of data, files, e-mails or content hosted by the Client.
  5. Service availability
    The Provider undertakes to perform the service with due diligence, but does not guarantee:
    • continuous availability of the website with the Client's hosting provider,
    • unlimited or uninterrupted access times,
    • the complete absence of errors or vulnerabilities.
  6. Client's use of the website
    The Provider neither controls nor limits the Client's use of the website after delivery. Any use contrary to:
    • the law,
    • copyright,
    • the licences of third-party content or services,
    • or the terms of use of the platforms used (hosting provider, website builder, extensions, API services, fonts, etc.),
    is solely the responsibility of the Client.
    The Provider cannot be held responsible in the event of a dispute, service suspension, content removal, account closure or any consequence resulting from improper use of the website or content integrated by the Client.

04B) Limitations and responsibilities relating to service-based services (technical installation, management and training)

  1. Technical installation The Provider carries out technical installations (domain name, hosting, server configuration, publishing the website online) based on the information and credentials provided by the Client.
    The Provider cannot be held responsible in the event of:
    • failure or unavailability of third-party services (hosting provider, registrar, DNS, messaging services);
    • slowdowns or unavailability related to external maintenance or incidents;
    • DNS propagation delays beyond their control;
    • incorrect prior configuration of the Client's server or hosting;
    • incompatibilities caused by themes, extensions, scripts or configurations imposed by the Client;
    • incorrect credentials or denied access.
    The Provider undertakes to inform the Client in the event of a technical difficulty preventing the normal performance of the service.
  2. Occasional or regular management
    Management services (updates, content additions, maintenance, occasional corrections or regular monitoring) are carried out based on access provided by the Client.
    The Provider is not responsible for:
    • modifications, deletions or installations carried out by the Client after the intervention;
    • damage to the website caused by extensions, themes or scripts added without their approval;
    • data loss occurring before or after their intervention, except in the event of proven fault on their part;
    • any service interruption due to the hosting provider or third-party services used by the Client;
    • loss of access to the website in the event of credentials being changed without the Client informing the Provider.
    Unless otherwise specifically agreed, it is the Client's responsibility to carry out or request a backup of the website before any intervention.
  3. Online training
    Training is provided by video conference and is intended to provide basic technical knowledge.
    The Provider is not responsible for:
    • the effectiveness of the Client's learning, as this depends on their understanding and personal practice;
    • difficulties caused by obsolete or malfunctioning equipment belonging to the Client;
    • interruptions caused by an unstable or insufficient Internet connection on the Client's side.
    The Provider provides explanations and demonstrations but cannot guarantee that the Client will be able to reproduce all procedures independently.
  4. General exclusions of liability
    For all services referred to in this point B, the Provider cannot be held responsible for:
    • indirect damages (loss of turnover, loss of visibility, loss of SEO ranking, damage to reputation);
    • misuse or illegal use of the website or configured tools;
    • the absence of emergency service or immediate availability, as the Provider works alone.
    The Provider nevertheless undertakes to perform the services with care, diligence and within the agreed timeframes, subject to the limitations set out above.

05 Client's obligations

  1. For ordering and invoicing, the following minimum mandatory information must be provided in the order form:
    • client's full name / company name – for invoicing;
    • address – for invoicing (mandatory for businesses, optional for individuals);
    • e-mail address – for sending the electronic invoice (PDF) and for written communication;
    • telephone number – for urgent or rapid communication;
    • telephone number used for WhatsApp (mandatory only if the service includes training);
    • the Client's server access credentials (FTP/SFTP, host, port, username, password) – only when the Provider needs to transfer or install the website files;
    • confirmation that the conditions (this page) and the GDPR/Privacy Policy page have been read (checkbox).
  2. Tax obligations for individual entrepreneurs and companies (reverse charge/VAT reverse charge):
    • If an invoice is requested by a business or individual entrepreneur established outside France, the Client must provide the company's EU VAT number.
    • This number must be provided to IL Design before the payment request is issued.
    • The invoice will state “reverse charge” (link to the version dated 12 September 2025), and VAT will be charged at 0%. The declaration and payment of VAT must be carried out in the Client's (business) country.

06 Pricing, payment, invoicing

06A) Pricing, payment and invoicing relating to product services (website and its components)

  1. Pricing and quotes
    Website creation is an artistic and technical service whose price depends on the amount of content to be integrated, the degree of graphic customisation, the potential complexity of the modules, and the time required for completion.
    As each website is designed entirely on a customised basis, IL Design can only provide an accurate quote after receiving a complete description of the Client's requirements (desired structure, style, features, technical services, additional options).
    The final price varies in particular according to:
    • the complexity of the website,
    • the amount of content to be integrated,
    • the level of graphic customisation,
    • the additional modules or features requested,
    • any external services required (hosting, domain, extensions, etc.).
    A detailed quote is sent to the Client by e-mail before any confirmation of the order.
  2. Payment terms
    The complete payment and invoicing terms, as well as the stages of the service process, are described in Point 03 – Order – Service process.
    Unless otherwise stated in the quote:
    • a 10% deposit is required before the start of the service. This deposit is fully refundable if the Client cancels before the start or at the intermediate stage described in Point 03;
    • at the intermediate validation stage (midway through the project), the deposit becomes a payment on account, confirming the definitive continuation of the project;
    • the balance is due upon completion of the website, after presentation of the final version temporarily hosted by the Provider;
    • payment is made by bank transfer to the account indicated in the payment request.
  3. Invoicing
    The electronic invoice (PDF) is sent to the Client by e-mail after receipt of full payment.
    The micro-enterprise is exempt from VAT in accordance with Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI).

06B) Pricing, payment and invoicing relating to service-based services (technical installation, management and training)

  1. Service rates
    The service-based services offered by IL Design are charged at the following rates:
    • Technical installation (hosting, domain, initial configuration): €40/hour;
    • Occasional management (one-off or irregular intervention): €40/hour;
    • Regular management (minimum two interventions per month): €30/hour;
    • Remote training for beginners (video conferencing, via WhatsApp or another tool agreed with the Client): €50 for a session of approximately 2 hours.
    An estimate of the expected time is provided to the Client in the Commercial Proposal – Quote & Pro Forma Invoice, in accordance with Point 03.
  2. Payment terms
    Service-based services require full payment before each intervention, according to the following rules:
    • Technical installation
      Payment is required before any intervention, after validation of the Commercial Proposal.
    • Occasional management
      The service is performed only after advance payment of the amount indicated in the pro forma invoice.
    • Regular management
      Payment of the agreed monthly package is required before the beginning of each month.
    • Remote training
      Payment for the booked session must be made before the date of the video conference appointment.
    Payment is made by bank transfer to the account indicated in the payment request document (pro forma invoice).
    In the absence of payment, the service will not be performed.
  3. Invoicing
    The electronic invoice (PDF) is sent to the Client by e-mail:
    • after receipt of payment for services paid for in advance,
    • in accordance with the French General Tax Code, the micro-enterprise is exempt from VAT under Article 293 B of the CGI.

07 Cancellation and refund policy

07A) Cancellation and refunds relating to product services (website and its components)

  1. Cancellation before intermediate validation
    The Client may cancel the order at any time up to the intermediate progress stage (approximately halfway through the project).
    In this case:
    • the 10% paid initially remains a deposit,
    • this deposit is fully refunded,
    • no other amount is due.
    This intermediate stage corresponds to the point at which the Provider presents the Client with a sufficiently advanced version of the website to confirm whether or not the project should continue (see Point 03).
  2. Cancellation after intermediate validation
    When the Client validates the intermediate progress:
    • the deposit becomes a payment on account,
    • this validation definitively confirms the continuation of the project.
    If the Client decides to cancel after this validation:
    • the payment on account (formerly the deposit) is retained by the Provider as compensation for the work already carried out,
    • no additional amount is charged,
    • cancellation remains possible until final delivery, but only the payment on account remains acquired by the Provider.
    Once the website has been finalised and the balance has been paid, no refund is possible, even if the Client ultimately decides to abandon the project before the files are transferred to their hosting.
  3. Cancellation by the Provider
    The Provider may cancel the order in the following cases:
    • major technical impossibility (long-term failure of an essential third-party service, inability to access the equipment, prolonged network outage, etc.),
    • serious or unforeseen health issue,
    • urgent family situation,
    • any other case of force majeure within the meaning of French law.
    As a one-person micro-enterprise, the Provider has no replacement.
    In the event of cancellation by the Provider:
    • all amounts paid (deposit or payment on account) are fully refunded,
    • the Provider may, if possible, help the Client find another provider, without any guarantee regarding the timeframe, price or quality of the future service.
    No other compensation may be claimed from the Provider.

07B) Cancellation and refunds relating to service-based services (technical installation, management and training)

  1. Technical installation
    Technical interventions (website installation, initial configuration, publishing the website online, creation of a server space, etc.) are billed in advance (€40/hour), before each intervention, in accordance with Point 06.
    The Client may cancel before the intervention begins:
    • in this case, the amount paid is fully refunded;
    • once the intervention has begun, no refund is possible.
  2. Website management (occasional or regular interventions)
    • Occasional interventions
      Occasional interventions are paid for before they are carried out.
      • The first hour started is always due and non-refundable, unless the Provider stops the service for a reason beyond the Client's control.
      • If the Client has paid for several hours in advance, only the hours not performed are refunded.
    • Monthly management (regular orders)
      Monthly services (€30/hour) are paid for before each month.
      In the event of termination of the contract, for any reason:
      • only the first hour remains due and non-refundable, unless the Provider is the one who terminates the service;
      • all remaining hours already paid for but not yet performed are fully refunded;
      • the recurring contract is immediately terminated.
  3. Video conference training
    Beginner training sessions (2-hour sessions, €50) are billed before each session, unless an overall contract has been concluded.

    “Session-by-session” training
    • The session already paid for (€50 for 2 hours) is non-refundable, even in the event of early termination.
    • The Client and the Provider then have no further future obligations: there is no ongoing commitment.

    Overall contract for a complete programme
    If the Client books and pays for an entire training programme comprising several sessions:
    • The Provider and the Client may each cancel the contract at any time.
    • In the event of cancellation:
      • the first session (€50) remains non-refundable,
      • sessions already completed remain non-refundable,
      • all sessions not yet completed are refunded.
      • no additional compensation may be claimed.

08 Intellectual property

8.1. Content provided by the Client

  • The Client guarantees that they hold all the rights necessary to use, publish and provide the Provider with the content intended for the website, including (non-exhaustive list):
    • texts,
    • images and photographs,
    • videos,
    • logos,
    • graphic elements,
    • music,
    • fonts,
    • any other digital content subject to copyright or a specific licence.
  • The Client undertakes to provide only content:
    • of which they are the author,
    • for which they have written permission,
    • or whose licence explicitly permits commercial use or public publication.
  • The Provider does not verify the origin, legality or compliance of the content provided. Consequently, any infringement of copyright, licences or intellectual property committed by the Client is solely their responsibility.
  • The Provider cannot be held responsible for any claim, fine, penalty, legal proceedings or damage resulting from content provided by the Client.

8.2. Content created by the Provider

  • Unless otherwise stated in the quote:
    • elements created by the Provider (layout, website structure, customised code, custom-created visuals, course teaching materials, exercise documents, practical guides, tutorials, etc.) are transferred to the Client for the use intended under the service;
    • the Provider nevertheless retains their moral rights in accordance with the French Intellectual Property Code;
    • this transfer does not include the right to resell, redistribute, transfer or publish this content outside the intended framework, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Provider.
  • The licences for third-party tools used (extensions, fonts, templates, image banks, API services, etc.) remain governed by the terms and conditions of their respective providers. Any use beyond the scope permitted by these licences remains the responsibility and liability of the Client.

09 Data protection and processing of personal data

IL Design operates in compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The declaration and detailed information relating to the GDPR are available on the Privacy Policy page, presented in a concise and understandable manner.

10 Reserved rights

  • IL Design reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions of Sale. In the event of an order already in progress, the Client will be informed of any changes.
  • The update date and version number of the regulations are shown at the top of the page, below the main title.
  • If the regulations are modified for administrative, legal or any other unavoidable reason, the Provider cannot be held responsible for any claims made by the Client in this regard.
  • As IL Design is a sole proprietorship operated by one person, the Provider reserves the right, in the event of prolonged illness, a serious family issue or any other major difficulty, to cancel the order.
    In this case, amounts already paid by the Client will be fully refunded, whether they are:
    • deposits or the balance relating to website creation services (see point 7.A),
    • or advance payments relating to service-based services (installation, management, assistance, training, etc.) for hours or periods not performed (see point 7.B).
    No additional financial compensation may be claimed by the Client (in accordance with point 7).

11 Dispute resolution / Applicable law

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavour to resolve the matter amicably. If this is unsuccessful, the dispute will be brought before the competent court, in accordance with the provisions of French law (link to the version dated 12 September 2025).
